Plexipi´s interactive Butterfly Effect Generator installation allows for everybody to choose one of the eight silver butterflies and make it move over the Internet. A webcam will always let you know what is going inside the Butterly Effect Generator.

The butterflies are located in a historic telephone diverter box on Tuchollaplatz, in Berlin.

VIDEO: Butterfly is driven by the OpenmokoTM open source phone, the Neo Freerunner.

The direction of the movement is depended on the angular offset of the phone. The device is connected to the office's wlan network and thus the server, which controls the butterflies.
