Time-synchronized six-axle CNC driver for bauhaus lab's Polyfilm Modulator Installation.

8 bit microkontroller
stepper motor driver
For one of bauhaus lab's projects (called the Polyfilm Modulator Installation) we built a time-synchronized CNC driver with six axles. Our driver is able to independently actuate six stepper motors which in turn are used to operate several video projectors.
For this project, we programmed an Arduino Mega board so that it would receive commands/data from a computer and transmit them to the system.
Three multi-directional movable video projectors make it possible to cast images/films simultaneously in any desired pattern within a 180 degree vertical and 45 degree horizontal angle.
The main advantage of this system is that it allows to precisely align the beam patterns to the film content.
